Spring Mullet Start Showing Up In Fort Pierce Florida

May 10, 2013 Report by: CF

There has been significant amounts of mullet showing up in Fort Pierce this week. Large pods of silvers have invaded the inlet followed by the Snook, Reds and big Jacks. This is the beginning of the great bait migration that happens each year along the east coast of Florida. The action will pick up as the silver mullet, minnows and all varieties of white baits all make an appearance this summer peaking in the fall around September with the Black Mullet.

Fort Pierce Florida Fishing Report March 21, 2013

The mackerel that were here yesterday were still here finishing off the last of the minnow pods that were still left and huddling along the rocks at South Jetty Park.  Hungry Snook were also feeding on the same minnows and there were several anglers tossing lures at them but no one caught any while I was there. Best bet is to show up at the jetty at first light with a glass minnow lure and you might just get one. – Good Luck & Tight Lines.

Tight Lines and Good Fishing

Indian River Lagoon Report for 11-18-2012

November 18, 2012 – Ft Pierce Florida

Paul Michelle from Navionics joined me to fish one of the highest tides of the this year flooded the backcountry mangrove jungle near Fort Pierce Florida. We were able to get through into places that you normally would be walking through with your kayak in tow, and got to fish some real backcountry spots. The fish out here see little fishing pressure and were eager to whack our baits that we were skipping around and under the overhanging mangroves that line the edge of this shallow water angling paradise.

Chucks World of Fishing

We caught 6 Snook, 1 Redfish and a bunch of Jacks total and had a great time. When it was time to leave we used the new Navionics app fro the iPhone to navigate our way back to civilization. This app is really cool especially for 10 bucks. It puts a a full featured chart plotter right in your pocket including (my favorite feature) tide and weather information. You can have all your local tide stations on one page making it easy to stay right on bite by following your desired depth.

You can get the app from the iTunes App Store or  Click here to find out more- http://www.navionics.com/en/mobile-pc-app

Thats all for now so get out there, find some bait and catch something.
